Over the past three weeks, i have been listenning to audio cds by Peter J Daniels and Dr Mike Murdock. These are gifted orators who have 'made it'. They are not only great at inspiring massive audiences around the world, but also make vast amounts of money from sharing great business and social ideals and philosophies with everyone.
These guys have written hundreds of books between them despite not having privileged backgrounds. At the age of 26, Peter J Daniel was an illiterate bricklayer. However, through determination, hardwork and ambition, he owns an empire worth hundreds of millions of dollars. He now shares his knowledge with the rest of the world through books, speeches and audio cds.
Last week, a friend of mine asked his colleague if he could burn some cds of Mike Murdock and Peter J Daniel which the colleague appropriates. These cds in question can not be found anywhere and hence the request to burn them. The colleague with the cds refused rather cleverly. You know when someone doesn't want to share!
It is strange why some people make miopic decisions to withhold material or ideas from those around them. It is ironic that my friend's colleague is withholding audio cds of successful orators who perpetuate their prosperity through sharing ideas. I believe that information sharing and networking are crucial attributes for modern day prosperity.
